After the success of Daisy Chainsaw with their punk hit “Love your money”, Crispin Gray and Katie Jane Garside decided to create a new band QueenAdreena in 1999. Their first EP “Taxidermy” is released in 2000, written by the two of them. This album will become a reference, a classic with their awesome personality and sound, sometimes rock'n'roll, sometimes blues and melancolic.
The band will have several bassist and drummer until they found Pete Howard in 2002 for the second album “Drink me”, a record more savage and instinctive than the first one. Pete Howard will bring his strengh on the drums, bringing the good rhythm and the good energy to Queen Adreena.
France will really discover the band with this EP during their French tour and specially for the Festival “Les Femmes s'en mêlent” and the “Transmusicales”. They will be filmed for a TV show “Tracks” during the show in Paris. The press and the public will be so amazed by their performance that everybody will talk about this event during a while... And lots of rumors will follow.
After several changes of labels and managers, QueenAdreena will record their third album on the label One Little Indian, “The Butcher and the Butterfly” in 2005. They will support Marilyn Manson in huge gigs and have their own tour with lots of people who couldn't enter, specially on the Batofar.
In 2005/2006 the band is touring a lot again, doing big festivals. Nomi is joining the band on the bass in 2006. At the same time Crispin and Nomi create another band The Dogbones and Katie starts a solo carreer (Lalleshwari, Ruby Throat and a collaboration with Hector Zazou).
QueenAdreena is still alive. They are actually on tour in France and one new album is in preparation, the adventure continues... Follow it here !
